Connecting your accounting software or ERP

You do not need to replace your accounting system. In most cases the platform, or a connector to your Accredited Service Provider, hands invoice data over in PINT-AE format. What differs is how much mapping work sits between your ledger and that format.

Two integration patterns

Small and mid-sized businesses usually take the packaged route: the accounting platform, or an add-on, sends invoices to an accredited provider. Zoho Books, for example, became an FTA-accredited Digital Tax Integrator in 2025, and comparable arrangements exist across the SME platforms UAE businesses run.

Larger groups take the mapping route: an ERP such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite emits invoice data that must be mapped to PINT-AE across subsidiaries, cost centres and tax codes, often with event pipelines carrying invoice issued, MLR received and delivered or rejected events into internal systems.

What to ask of your platform

  • ·Does it produce every field PINT-AE requires, or will some come from elsewhere?
  • ·Can it handle credit notes referencing multiple invoices, and partial credits?
  • ·Does it support self-billed invoices and credit notes if your business uses them?
  • ·Can it receive inbound supplier invoices, or is it send-only?
  • ·Where do rejections land, and can they be seen without logging into the provider's portal?

The multi-platform reality

Groups and accounting firms rarely have one system. A typical UAE practice looks after clients on Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, TallyPrime, Odoo and Wafeq at once, each with its own provider arrangement and its own way of showing a rejection.

TaxFlow Cockpit reads across those platforms and presents one compliance picture: what was issued, what was acknowledged, what is stuck, per entity and per client. The invoicing keeps happening where it happens today.

Questions people ask

Do I have to change accounting software for UAE e-invoicing?

Usually not. Most UAE-common platforms are adding or already have a compliant path through an accredited provider.
